I'm really pleased with it, its so very roomy. The picture above shows it holding 20 felt pens (more than I can hold in one hand), there is still room for more, but when it is all closed it looks normal sized, not overly large.
I tried to use the pouch I made today, but I got it nearly to my bag and lost heart. I would get it mucky, I know I would, and I just couldn't let that happen. So I have decided to put both the toadstool pouch, and the gnome pencil case on my etsy. Hopefully they will be bought be a someone who is better at taking care of there things, and not quite as accident prone as me.

oh Ruth they're beautiful! Apart from the fantastic stitching you got the base of the bags just right so they stand with the images showing in perfect position.
